We send our deepest condolences to Phyllis Diller’s family and close friends, as we celebrate the extraordinary life of this incredible artist.
One of the good ones, our dear friend Rachel Chandler (Freeway 15), is off the market, so to speak. She came by the studio before we went out to celebrate her recent engagement. Congratulations RC!!
Ginger Sherak and her husband William came by the studio to chat about recent projects, the holidays, and the appropriate use of the word ‘gamine.’ After a late lunch and a brief stroll down Melrose, she drove off into the sunset wearing her new Freeway 1s.
Alex Stern, on the big clam shell outside Chez Jay in Santa Monica, wearing his matte black Freeway 105s.
Limited to one hundred pair in black, and one hundred pair in cream, these special edition glasses, our first artist collaboration, were designed with one of our very favorite LA artists, John Baldessari, using our L.A. RAYS frame style. The text reads “I will not look at any more boring art,” and Baldessari’s signature is printed on the inside temple. They are available from our online store, at Maxfield, Colette, MOCA and The Webster.
The incredibly talented artist Richard Phillips sporting his matte black Freeway 110s, in downtown L.A. by City Hall on a warm windy night. Pasted below are two works by Phillips that we love.
Fresh form the set of Total Recall in Toronto, Canada, here’s more from the talented and beautiful Jessica Biel, and her Freeway 15s in glossy black.
It was so great catching up with publisher, writer and friend Dr. Angelika Taschen in Berlin! It’s always very exciting to see her and to hear about her fantastic new projects. She looks great in her Autobahns by Freeway.
